WYRD WAR’S THIRD ANNUAL WALPURGISNACHT CELEBRATION!
Join Wyrd War for a special Witches’ Night screening of my favorite Indonesian horror flick directed by cult filmmaker H. Tjut Djalil (yes, he of LADY TERMINATOR infamy)! MYSTICS IN BALI (1981) tells the astonishing tale of a western woman who travels to Bali to research Southeast Asian black magic. Naturally, things take a terrible turn for the worse when her boyfriend assists her in meeting a cackling witch who magically inscribes her thigh with a mystical symbol and precipitates a gory initiation into the occult secrets of the Leák. Be forewarned. The Leák is a mythological creature torn from Balinese folklore and depicted as a disembodied head with entrails dangling from what remains of its bloody neck. Unfolding as something akin to a less mean spirited THE EVIL DEAD on lots of that brown acid they warned the hippies about at Woodstock, we assure you…MYSTICS IN BALI is a joyride like nothing you have ever experienced!
We will have FREE limited edition Mystics in Bali vomit bags for the first 150 people who say hello at the Wyrd War merch table in the theater lobby. Yes, vomit bags. Tickets on sale NOW!
