HOTTER THAN A ROLLIN' DICE: GRANT PAGE DID NOT DIE FOR OUR SINS

One of my unsung heroes of Australian cinema, the legendary Grant Page, has finally been honored by Screen NSW for his 50 year career as a pioneering stunt rock wizard! Grant Page is a living, breathing, burning, falling, bleeding symbol of resilience and the profound power of mind over matter. He is a fuel-injected suicide machine. He is the rocker. He is the roller. He is the out-of-controller. 2016 has been awful in many ways, but Page's lifetime achievement award is a sliver of good news shining brightly across a sea of utter bullshit. Director Brian Trenchard-Smith gave Page his first paid gig in 1972, and went on to cast him in the lead role of his 1975 masterpiece Stunt Rock, written specifically to highlight Page's death-defying skills. You can watch him salute his esteemed comrade in the short tribute video below. Congratulations, Grant Page! Thank you for being a fearless hard man in a world that is slouching ever closer toward flaccid unroadworthy wimpdom.

Tougher than you.

Brian Trenchard-Smith delivers the death blow!
At least it wasn't the infamous "Squirrel Grab."
