HOWL LIKE A WOLF AND A WITCH WILL OPEN THE DOOR

WYRD WAR returns TONIGHT for our fifth annual Walpurgisnacht film screening! Every year on Witches’ Night, April 30, we unveil a favorite occult-inspired cinematic gem to inflame the senses and inspire the most devilish of dreams! This year is no exception, and we are making history by programming the first film to ever be streamed online by the Hollywood Theatre since this hallowed landmark opened to the public in 1926! Strange times call for strange magic, and we are honored to bring us together by any means necessary for this very special one-night-only presentation of Richard Blackburn’s mysterious 1973 period film LEMORA: A CHILD'S TALE OF THE SUPERNATURAL. Lila Lee is a cherubic adolescent, played with understated grace by the great B-movie legend Cheryl “Rainbeaux” Smith, who is summoned to her hometown to say farewell to her father on his deathbed. Lila is soon drawn into an allegorical dark night of the soul through an enchanted forest, populated with malevolent forces and the sinister temptations of the wicked Lemora! Mythological in its stark simplicity, utterly compelling in its earnest portrayal of the grotesque, this adult fairytale is exactly the intoxicating escape we all need from the world right now! Gather around your screens with me for this private streaming event on Thursday April 30, 2020. All you need is a Vimeo account (free!) and a $10 "ticket" which can be purchased HERE
