Today we honor the 25th anniversary of Cliff Burton's premature discharge from this sanitarium Earth. You all know the story and the impact this young dude had on metal so I won't wax poetic here except to say that I didn't get to see Metallica until 1988 so never had the opportunity to see him perform live. Bummer. Hail to Cliff Burton!
