OPENING RECEPTION!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Black Water Gallery last night for the opening reception of CUT & PASTED // BURNED & WASTED! It was a truly spectacular evening. For those of you who couldn't make it, the exhibition will remain on display all month and is open to the public every day of the week from noon until 6pm. Contact the gallery to make sure they're open before you make the trip. We are also planning a special closing reception with most of the artwork available for sale. Updates coming soon! Summary: 14 artists, 70 pieces of artwork, two drills, 1 keg of beer, several bottles of vodka, 1 stage, 6 goat skulls, lots of blood and a chocolate cake...

This is what the space looked like when we descended upon it Wednesday morning. The first step was a fresh coat of black paint...

Black Water proprietor Keith Testerman went above and beyond the call of duty to help me convert his dusty D.I.Y. punk venue into a fine art gallery complete with beautiful track lighting and a full bar. Unfortunately, once the doors opened we didn't have much time to photograph the enthusiastic crowd...

After all, it was a birthday...

This is a comment on your blog/ online fanzine overall, i fucken love it! Your post on Mad Marc Rude got me here and I haven't left. You are single-handedly getting me into metal. Where all my friends have failed you're making me a believer. Love your art, nothing but inspiring to a wannabe like me. Keep on keeping on, lates!
