LAST WEDNESDAY ON THE LEFT returns to Portland's East End on February 23 and this month we're celebrating the birth of my trusted comrade Ryan Engorged, speed metal extraordinaire and curator of the infrequently updated but always educational Frightzone News Service (*note to Ryan = stop watching re-runs of Columbo and update your blog). For the past two decades Ryan has defended the faith locally and his various bands have shared stages with the likes of Inquisition, Incantation and Angel Corpse long before those bands became "cool" (the shows were killer, where were you?). So, yeah, Ryan is an old geezer who never sold his vinyl and clearly deserves a proper birthday thrashing. Who will survive the onslaught of Lääz Rockit, Metal Duck and the Critters soundtrack and what will be left of them??? Banging begins at 9pm.
