Hero Worship

"If you are a false, don't entry!"
~Sarcafago

Thanks again to EVERYONE who has been visiting the exhibit! Attendance has been absolutely unprecedented this year and The Life Gallery tells me it is their most successful exhibit to date. I put a tremendous amount of time & energy into setting up a show of this caliber and I can't express how thrilled I am that people are responding so enthusiastically. Cheers to the crusty crew that travelled all the way from Oakland by train just to see the show yesterday! Wish I could've been there to meet you all!

We've been fielding a lot of inquiries about who will be attending the Artist Reception this Friday and there seem to be some wild rumors circulating. Artists are traveling from as far away as Sweden and Brooklyn for the reception but, for the record, Nick Blinko will not be in attendance. Schizophrenia tends to complicate international travel and Nick rarely leaves London. If you're an Away fan you should already know that Voivod is playing Hellfest in France this Friday and despite his uncanny abilities he can't be on two continents at the same time. S. Clay Wilson is still recovering at a rehabilitation center for brain damage in California and Rob Miller just left Portland a few weeks ago after the West Coast leg of the Amebix tour. So if you're interested in rubbing elbows with "celebrities", please stay home. Refer to Chapter 3 in your Punk Rock Rule Book: "Fuck You, Heroes!" (it's right after Chapter 2: "Fuck The System!").

That said, I warmly invite those who understand to join us this Friday June 19th as we celebrate a very rare display of art from around the world! Several artists will be in attendance and I'll make sure you get enough beer to forget that you can't get your copy of Death Church signed. Doors open at 7pm. Hope to see you there!

Apparently there are a lot of people who want to smell the asses of "famous" people. See you Friday, Sean!

Hey Dennis, Amy here. I just want to thank you for putting the art show together. I'm just bummed that I didn't have $2000 on me for that fricking sword.
Oh, and if you could get a good copy of that "Hail the Turning of the Wheel," I'd totally pay you for the inconvenience.
Anyway, thanks for your hard work. I had a great time. Cheers.
